This portrait of Graham Harris was taken by Frank Morice, founder of the Atikokan Camera Club. Graham Harris was
what was known as a "remittance man" -- an educated man who for some reason preferred to live in
a tar-paper shack in Sapawe, supported by a small pension from his family back in England. He was a frequent contributor of news and poetry
to the Atikokan Progress. He died when his shack caught fire one night during the winter, possibly in 1959.
