This print is stamped "Jul 29, 1954" on the back. Accompanying info says in part: "A high-pressure hydraulic jet disintegrates clay on what was once the bottom of Steep Rock Lake, Ontario, Canada, so that iron ore can be mined". It also states that this photo was to be used "Sunday, July 25, with Charles Mercer's Atikokan, Ontario AP-N story on Canadian boom town". Does anyone out there have a clipping of this story?
