date-stamped July 25, 1954. The two people crossing the street are Ernie & Mattie Setter.

For many years Jack was the only Protestant
minister in Atikokan, and conducted services for several different denominations.

The 1957 executive of the Women's Auxiliary, Church of the Good Shepherd – an
Atikokan Progress photo. The late Margaret Dobie, at age 101 in August 2009, immediately remembered the
photo being taken and the occasion, and she recognized everyone but herself. Pictured are:
Margaret Cole, Margaret Dobie, Patricia Hele and Molly McInnis.

Twelve photos of an unknown production held either in the United Church auditorium
or the Iron Mine Union Hall. The people identified are Keith Stone, Chris Thorp
and possibly John Lewicki. Shown are scenes from the play plus a group photo of 25 people.

Unidentified woman and two children playing Bingo inside the arena. This might have been at a Lions or Kiwanis fair.

I think the pipe band was from Thunder Bay. What was the occasion?
Was it the official opening of the highway? This shot includes pipers and members of the Legion marching on Main Street.
All five Legion members are named. Can you identify anyone in the crowd?

A crew of volunteers loaded an abandoned steam locomotive onto a flat-bed and moved it to Atikokan to be restored and placed next
to the Atikokan Centennial Museum. Only two of the men are identified –
Bill Dunnett and Jack Switzer.
